Niko Johannes – Signs And Wonders EP

“Signs & Wonders” is the second EP from Niko Johannes and a sequel to the first release, “Part Of The Scenery EP” released january 2022. “Signs & Wonders” contains four songs, painting a fresh narrative from beginning to end. In “Meliora” and “Synesthesia” we can hear heavily synthetic drums instead of a pulse. EP’s first and last songs are short and minimalistic, but strong in expression. The harmonic contents on the EP are exciting and experimental, but at the same time addictive and hypnotic. Visuality is also strongly present in this release.

ARTIST PROFILE:
Niko Johannes is a nature man from Finland who loves to create analog soundscapes with lo-fi moods. His roots are in the nineties electronic music and drum’n’bass. Nature has been his most profound inspiration from a young age. He has a tiny cabin studio surrounded by woods next by a lake where he spends half of the year as a fisherman, picking berries and mushrooms for the needs of the whole year. Niko Johannes also writes most of his tunes in the same comfortable place and dreams of a self-sufficient life.
